Details from PhillyFireNews.com – A Philadelphia firefighter was briefly trapped in a house fire Tuesday. Battalion 9 arrived in the 400 block of Tulpehocken Street with a three-story twin dwelling with light smoke showing from the basement. Crews found fire in the basement. During the fire, an emergency button was activated from Ladder 8’s crew and the rapid intervention team went to work. The firefighter was quickly located and able to exit the building on his own to be evaluated by EMS. The fire was knocked down and all searches were negative.
