At least nine firefighters were killed and others injured battling a fire at an archives warehouse in Buenos Aires, Argentina Wednesday. At least seven firefighters suffered injuries, several critically. Most were injured with a brick wall collapsed on top of a large group of responders, according to multiple media reports.
The cause of the blaze was not immediately known. The building stores records for many companies in the country including banks.
The Associated Press reported that the same company, Iron Mountain, had major fires. The Boston-based company lost warehouses to fires in New Jersey (1997) and London (2006).
